At some point in human history we sensed
the time of day and the seasons in our bones, so to speak. We were in sync with our world through a rhythm provided by the angle and movement of the sun.
And for me, a Sundial is a reconnection to that time. While a Sundial is no longer a great way to tell time, a Sundial explains itself: It reminds us of where we are, and says something about the world. My watch just tells me I'm always late.
